In addition to CBEI initiatives and workshops, our partners offer a variety of other professional development opportunities related to water quality and watershed science.
Watershed Alliance Teacher Researcher Partnership (WATR) | Lake Champlain Sea Grant
The WATR Partnership leverages local research activities and a state-of-the-art research vessel to provide teachers with an immersive year-long professional development program related to watershed science and water quality issues. The vessel functions as a floating laboratory on Lake Champlain and is the primary vessel of watershed science research at the University of Vermont.

Educator Idea Fair | Lake Champlain Maritime Museum
Connect with fellow educators and local nonprofits at the Educator Idea Fair! Classroom teachers, homeschool educators, and anyone involved in ecology and education are mingle and discuss ideas with peers from local schools and organizations. Come get inspired and learn about some of the cool things happening in our community!
